Are the “upgraded discs” 12mm thick by any chance?
btw my original post over the disc conversion (where I asked you to post the part nrs of the new backplates) was transferred from the original site, which is now read only, which could explain why you couldn’t post there?
sorry!I seem to remember that I used the original bolts, however it was a very long time ago so I can’t say with any certaincy
bnw if you wish to add the part numbers etc of the new backplate(s) to my original thread I would be very grateful as the originals are no longer available

Original VW part, already dropped without replacement.
They were blasted and primed with 2k epoxy. Then painted with high-quality brake caliper lacquer.

yes the flange is mounted on splines & will tap off or slide off when the nut is removed,
btw the transfer box drive flange nut needs to be torqued up to a massive 260 lb/ft

ok, The last attachment is what I have seen normally on the transfer box drive flange with the stikky out shaft & not the allen key type thing.

btw regarding the transfer box drive flange, I have not seen that centre 12 pointer bolt before ever!
The exhaust flange, I think you might just get away with just a new gasket & bolts?
Gasket is Syncro specific P/n 191253232 but according to eBay & 7zap this will fit!

Nuts are N 90085001 hexagon nut, self-locking M8 6When fitting the new beam bushes be aware that they have a preferred way to fit, its shown in the drawings I sent you last week
Apart from the brake lights, the switch controls the freewheel lock so you have 4wd when reversing,
the normal state for this is for the freewheel to be just that & Freewheel
think of a pedal bike with a normal freewheel hub as opposed to 1 with a fixed wheel hubbtw lloyd, Did you see that Sam might have a spare 25mm VC unit?
