HouseyParticipant
oh, we were talking about different things for a while here.
thats the front crossmember. and that is pretty much the same all over on the MK2’s
subframe = K-frame.

They dont have a boostgauge. However the “mapsensor” on the instrumentcluster can see 1bar of boost in order to correctly display the mpg. And some minor diagnostics.
But no realtime display on normal mfa. Only hidden menu

No. You can only use the calipers. You need new e-brake wires, new discs and caliper carriers.
HouseyParticipantnothing special about the rear calipers. the carriers are what makes it different
you want to use the “old style” calipers which came on the MK2’s with rear discs and older corrados and passats
i’ve got “FWD” rear calipers on my golf. works great
HouseyParticipantits not only the counterbalance thingy, but there is also an additional mounting point on the subframe.
All G60s have them, fwd and syncro. same subframe
HouseyParticipanti removed that ****ty old ABS system on my golf when i converted it to G60..
and i’m in the process of putting a newer system from a golf mk3 into it
much easier, and it then has ABS brakeson all 4 wheels. not only the fronts
this way i can remove that ****ing seized up brake proportion valve in the rear.
and there is way less wiring involved the ECU and everything is built into the Pump. and you also retain the Vacuum servo. so you don’t have to worry about burning up your million-drollar old abs pump
some small mods are needed tho. but they should be managable
HouseyParticipanti dobut that you’ll ever notice any difference.
and you will have to shave off some material on the caliper holders as well. they are only wide enough for the 10mm disc
HouseyParticipantbiggest problem would be the width, the stock calipers can’t handle the width.
but R32 / S3 calipers could
i’d rather want 256x20mm on the rears if its possible somehow just for pure looks
HouseyParticipantyou need a 02C/02A flywheel (from the 4cyl ones)
corrado/golf/passat gearbox
same with the clutch.
i’ve got a clutchnet stage 2 on my 16v Turbo syncro. works great. a bit stiff, but holds about 500nm
HouseyParticipant02A or 02C starter they are the same
020 won’t work
the 02C box IS a 02A box with a different differential and bellhousing
HouseyParticipantyes. two 15mm bolts holdt it up
HouseyParticipantno problem
if you get stuck, then let me know. i can get more pictures of this car
HouseyParticipantyes. 2 and 4 door golf/jettas are all the same underneath the body
HouseyParticipantthere are none.
you might get by with downloading elsa illegally. or roam german ebay after german self-study litterature.
however. there are not too many differences betwwen syncro/fwd .. wiring are the same (ofcourse a few wires here and there are different) but mostly the same.
the rear running gear is pretty much like the front when it comes to tightening torques etc
HouseyParticipantHi. sorry for the delay. but he sent me some pictures now. don’t mind the rust and the dent on the rear
Hopefully they will be of some help to you.
