ModeratorThat might just be the problem!
possibly all you need to do is get a photo of the activating arm in its normal position & set yours to the same angle?
Chris S
ModeratorWhich master cylinder do you have fitted?
but personally I would refit the ABS.

ModeratorHere is what my VW partsman had to say in answer to my Email
Q) Hi Iede, I hope you had a good Christmas,
is part nr 02C409905B VR6 Syncro transfer box bracket available & if so how much is it please?
Ta, Chris
A) Hi Chris,I was a bit under the weather unfortunately, but I’m fine now.
The part is dropped without replacement.
By the looks of it the last part of your order will be in this afternoon, I’ll let you know when it has arrived.
Groetjes, Iede.

ModeratorOffsets don’t make any difference & cause no problem for the 4wd system, you just have to make sure your tyre does not foul either the wheel arch or the suspension unit.
my 89 G2 Syncro has a mk3 VR6 Syncro rear axle fitted (10mm per side wider) & this runs without any problem. [

btw what diameter is the bar itself? ETKA says 13mm surely that can’t be correct?

Moderatorif you treat it carefully with no drag strip style standing starts etc, tne O20 will last for a time,
the length of time being in direct proportion to how hard you use/abuse it.
