ModeratorI don’t know, what part numbers did he give you?
Chris S
ModeratorYes, apart from the front and rear section recess diameter, rubber donuts and a heatshield over the front universal joint.
The centre section is identical ans is also fitted to the Passat 35i Syncro.
Check here http://www.vagcat.com/
The differing parts for the Rallye are
1H0 521 307 rear donut with balance weight.
191 521 443 heatshield.
Front recess

There are also differing VC units fitted to the rear diff, btw the only difference appears to be the size of the recesses, I have every reason to believe that internally they are the same.

Chris S
ModeratorWould I be correct in thinking that the above performance figures were obtained under optimum conditions?
But given the average greasy & sometimes wet & slippy road conditions that most of us have to contend with,
its no contest, it has to be 4WD [8D]
Chris S
ModeratorWell, not you with 3 of them! [

ModeratorYes the 90bhp & Country is 191 199 381A, while the Rallye/Passat G60 is 357 199 381C
the rubber is probably harder in the G60 one
Chris S
ModeratorSorry it was not very clear before, however the above post has now been amended to show that the original 239mm disc front calipers will not fit as the mountings are totally different & not compatable,
You need the later 16v/G60 front Calipers p/n 357 615 123AX or357 615 123B (Left hand) & 357 615 124AX or 357 615 124b (Right hand)
