1st one i broke on a gravel drive way so it had plenty of slip, personally i`d go straight to 02m now, i should have done it ages ago, it`s not hard to convert over just needs the brackets for 02m to the mk2 subframe, got mine from C2UK motorsport

arh that given me an idea, could always get a sleeve machined up to slip over the top of the transfer casing, nice tight fit catching all the high points on the casing, shouldn`t be to hard

so far so good, managed 7 runs at santa pod best time of 12.05 @116mph 60ft 1.77 all on the same boost as last time thats 0.7secs off my last visit with just the 02m gearbox change

so far yes, but they are the only 02C/J 17/27 transfer box availible and sadly only made from cast alloy, its broken with 350 -400 ftlb torque, gone over to 02m now so far all good the change is smoother so should see me some better times on the qtr, but i`ve not tested it at santa pod yet

similar diff is found on the transport t4 syncro that is definately able to lock on from inside the cab,
but again the VC is the weak point in any power upgrade

    cheers
i forgot i also have a custom made fly wheel for a 20vt and a twin plate Helix clutch and pressure plate for an 02a, £380 all together cost me £900 never used just fitted, if wanted for a vr6 a new fly wheel will need to be made, just needs the holes in a different place

their not all the same , ratio wise yes 17/27, but they did a GEN1 found in the mk4 and GEN11 diff which is found in the mk5 golf, which is harder to mount in a mk2 golf
