no such userParticipanti have a few sets of rear drive shafts. what ya want
no such userParticipanti had loads of them, but no one ever wanted them so scraped them all
no such userParticipantIf you want to drift don’t bother with 4wd it just makes it harder, id drop porsche drivetrain in and an audi 5 pot, that would do sideways nicely in a corrado.
syncro and haldex systems are designed to be primeraly fwd and shifting power to rear when there is slip, for slideways you want the frount to maintain grip while keeping traction broken on the rear, rwd is easyest way
no such userParticipantdriveshafts are thge pita well one of them is
no such userParticipantWhen I knackerd mine I had to replace the front section.
When you refit make sure the lugs in the doughnut are located fully home, on mine the lugs must have been distorted when it was modified with diffrent lugs pressed in. result 2 of the bolts snaped and the lugs cammed out. that makes a proper mess of the prop let allone the bush. []
no such userParticipantused to run a pb head and 32/34 dmtl. i had no problems at all amd i was useing a slightly more bumpy cam again, kent gs2h
no such userParticipantone question is just how much power that angel drive is gooing reliably transmit to the rear diff, and there whilst ( slideinig , cornering and the track is falling away) dynamic weight is all over the place.
what i have noiced is syncros are brilliant when the inside frount lifts as the rear dose a good job, but an LSD in the frount would allow me to put power to the frount wheel thats on the deck as well ( there would be plenty of slip to get the VC involved and power to the rear as well)
the setup of my car dose encorage wheel lifting tho as it was pritty much as light as i chould sensibly get it and the springs and dampers are quite hard.
no such userParticipantthe hydro tappets are blocked up if it’s ratteling, they can rattel for a long time
no such userParticipantIMO my syncro needs an LSD in the frount at some point. when driving hard under some conditions your very ligth on the inside frount or have it completly off the ground. and having the lsd in the frount would mean some driveing chould still be done by the frount wheel on the deck, there will be slip so the rear will still get to do it’s thing.
also when it comes to playing on the track in the wet, i think it would be a massive feature
inside frount off the deck
no such userParticipantbolt on filters dont work very well,
no such userParticipantThere is slight intrest here but not at that price. £’s say it’s much cheeper to buy a straight one to drive. and for a GL it’s to expensive to be a braker IMO
