steering column switch? as in the stalk? i’ve tested a few of those too, no differnce

oh ok, there must be a fault somewhere in the wiring then? [:(]

fixed the indicators today. so now they work, and had a look at the wipers..

i can’t understand WHY it shorts out. tried two different relays (number 19, on position 8) fusenumber is 5, which is a 15A fuse

it works well on max speed, but on half speed and delay, the fuse blows. tracked the wires. no faults as far as i can see

tried two wiper motors, same thing, fuse blows.. hmm

and i need some help adressing some wires inside the car :)

first is a plug, with a Blue/green wire. and a yellow plug. only one i found at A2resource.com was that this is a wire for the diesel water separation system, which i don’t have.

second is a white/blue wire, which has a white plug on the end, actually two white plugs :) combined in series with eachother

    have some pics too :)

you can see the white/blue in the first pic aswell

and close ups of the two wires

and your guess is that that might be the partnumber starting with 191?

brackets are now installed. buuuuut.. as always, things does not line up as it should

anyone know if there are difference between the inlet necks on the radiator? because the one that came with the original rallye radiator is angeled wrong

did a search in etka, but that didnt help me much, as the partnumbers are close to identical :(

i’ve got a picture of the neck showing how wrong this is

    IMG_1046.jpg

    partnumber on the neck i have is : 535 121 647

and etka says there is another one, but my guess is that they are the same?

    that number is : c 191 121 647

and just for the hell of it, heres how it will look

yeah, but is it fitted as standard on the passats that was delivered in norway? since this is a cold country i mean. but, its only a relay, and a few wires, then its back in place :)

oh, and chris, we talked about those hub-centric bolts the other day, you know where those can be obtained?

not much happend yet. still looking for a radiator fan alternative. seems that i’m going for 2x30cm slimline fans. running them off the original thermostat, driving one then the other when the heat rises. should work ok

but, just one question, i have a relay, with its own harness. numbered 31. does that have to be installed? does this run the fan? or is it just the fan-afterrun system? (which i’m not using anyways)

they distribute, but don’t make exhaust, unfortunalty

but i’ve contacted a company in oslo, asking for a price for a custom made 2.5″ exhaust. with least amount of flow restrictions, and not loud :) i don’t want a loud ass golf :)

but thanks for the tips chris

looking more and more like a golf again :)

got the bonnet on, and the plastic in the raintray. some minor cleaning left in the engine bay

    IMG_1021.jpg

Biggest problem now is the radiator, the size and location of it makes it unsuitable for my needs

    IMG_1022.jpg

and since its so wide, it makes the battery unable to fit, and this is the smallest battery i’ve got too

    IMG_1023.jpg

Front is more or less back together, but, since i’m using a mix of original and unoriginal bumper brackets, the bumber are sagging, but, that should be an easy fix
    IMG_1024.jpg

loads of different colors :) red, blue, green and gray :) haha
