ModeratorIn a word no, the Golf 3 syncro tank has an extra sticky out part that fouls the Golf 2 Syncro underbody,
What you can do is to cut the small pump neck out & (Plastic – ABS) weld the wider G3S neck in, its not that difficult,
I have done it to a couple of tanks now, but there again in a previous life I used to be a plastics engineer. [

ModeratorWas this the same company that supposedly repaired your transfer box?
Chris S
ModeratorHave you tried bleeding either the pump or injectors?
you usually only need to bleed 1 injector & the other 3 will pull through
Well thats how we used to do it, I dont know if it’s the same on your motor
I have not got ETKA on my computer atm so cant be of more help sorry.

Moderatoryes its different, its not so much the rubber mount itself, but the bracket that goes from the back of the engine to the rubber mount.
Chris S
ModeratorIs your mount from an 020 or 02C type box? possibly you need the 02C type?
Chris S
ModeratorYou will only have 2wd in reverse.
Chris S
ModeratorIt sounds like a problem with either the internal gear selector or the 1st gear syncro ring/selector hub, either way you will have to strip the tranny out to repair it.
Chris S
ModeratorYou too
Chris S
ModeratorYes but I need your gearbox number

ModeratorIf you have proper access from underneath, (IE a lift bridge) then it is perfactly possible to replace the oil seal in situ.
it would be better to replace all of the oilseals at the same time though.
And 450 pounds is far to much for a rebuild, I would just replace the seal(s)
