ParticipantAnyone know what my options are? Is it possible to buy sports/rally suspension? Vw heritage want crazy money for a shock absorber. Any help would be great!

ModeratorAt the front you can fit any Golf 2 2wd Shocker/spring assembly, its the rear thats the syncro only fitment.

Participantyou need a Country front shocker. They were still available new fairly recently as i have a new pair on the front of mine- its the rears that are obsolete and silly money new

ModeratorI just checked at thr dealer & they were dropped without replacement in 2010 & there are non left anywhere in the world.

ParticipantI have found somewhere online who do a pair for €700 euros. I’ll have to double check with heritage if that’s for one or two.

Participantim sure my receipts from the previous owner had shocks at 160 each from the dealer!!! I can check the parts numbers on them if you like

ParticipantCan anyone else make sense of this? I can get ONE Shock absorber from VW (rip off) Heritage Classic parts for £578, or I can have TWO shock absorbers for 700 Euros from Mecatechnic, who appear to get the shocks from…….wait for it…….VW Classic Parts?!?!?! Here’s the link…..
