The 100mm cv joints were already fitted to my golf. My car had already been converted to a g60 using a corrado engine. I dont know how much of the running gear was swapped at that time but it now has vented discs on the front. I know theres a thread on the forum regarding the lenght of the bear half shafts but when I measured mine it made no sense. Since the left shaft was the same lenght as a corrado left shaft and the distance between the output flanges on the o2c and the 020 were the same I could see no reason why I couldn’t use the existing right hand shaft. Everything mated up fine and it drives ok.

I am actually in the final stages of converting my 1990 mk2 syncro to 1.9TDi. The doner was a 1997 Seat Toledo 1.9TDi, 90BHP engine with an ECU. The wiring loom just plug in to the existing fusebox. I used a Passat G60 syncro gearbox sourced from Ebay.de. I think it has a 3.9 diff. I also used the original halfshafts and propshaft. I measured the distances between the flanges on the 02c and the 020 and they were identical. The Exhaust downpipe was abit tricky. It consists of two tight radius 90 degree bends at the turbo followed by a 40 and 50 degree to clear the propshaft. The oil return for the turbo also has to be modified to clear the transfer box. the pedal box with fluid clutch is from a corrado.

Cheers Chris. How much are you asking for it and what will the postage to Ireland cost. I live in southern ireland but I also have an address in Northern Ireland.

No bother. I may still be able to use my existing exhaust.

I made a downpipe for mine last week. I was always going to have to make a downpipe anyway. Yours does have an extra silencer so it might be a little quieter than mine. Where are you and can you leave a number so I can price carriage.

Sammy, Do you still have the exhaust. I need an exhaust for a syncro that I am converting to diesel at the moment. The one I have has a 2.5″ bore and the back box is a poor fit.

Thanks Chris. What difference does the engine type make. BTW did you get a chance to look for a SH transfer box bracket. Regards Trevor.

Thanks Chris. Keep me the flat bar. Can you have a look for the other one. A second hand brackek would be prefect if you can rise one. Regards Trevor

I agree Chris , I did see cables listed on Ebay.de but I doubted they were correct as they were listed for other models also.

Thanks Chris but theres a couple of snags. first, it not easy for me to get a syncro 2a box in Ireland, second i have little german and third, most people aren’t interested in international freight.
