I have a rod shift gearbox with a low ratio diff fitted. As far as I know the transfer box and rear diff is original. Can a higher ratio diff be fitted to the gearbox or will this mess up the ratio between the front and rear diffs.

Thanks Chris but theres a couple of snags. first, it not easy for me to get a syncro 2a box in Ireland, second i have little german and third, most people aren’t interested in international freight.

Well, you can fit a higher ratio diff to your box, any 1800cc 020 diff will do, but be aware that it will increase the stress on all the gearbox components and may lead to an early failure. [:(]
