Just tried GSF. Nothing on the shocks or rear coil springs.

As expected – front coil spring is a special variant of the Golf Mk2

The letters seem to relate to the model variant
    Coil Spring – 191 411 105J = Jetta
    Coil Spring – 191 411 105G = Golf
    Coil Spring – 191 411 105R = Golf GTi 8v/16v/G60

    etc etc

Thanks so much for that Clive.

I will pop into my local VW Stealer next week and see if they are available.

    Now you’re talking!

That’s the nicest news I have had all week. Was worried I would have to sell it and I really don’t want to.

It would be great if they are still available. I’ll ask around if any mates have ETOS

    Thanks for that Danny.

I will do the brakes, bearings, suspension first I think – that extra power needs to be properly directed right [;)]

Any tips with the wiring? I’ll get an auto-electrician mate on the job but pointers would be invaluable.

I’m about to get a Mk3 Golf 2.0l 16v (ABF?) engine as part of a deal.

Is this the same basic unit as the Toledo one?

I really fancy something similar to your conversion and wonder how hard converting my RHD Syncro would be.

Also which suspension are you using? My shocks and springs are about ready and a definitive replacement would be welcome.

I have a Stratos Blue Syncro I might be willing to swap.

Currently off the road as thr MOT ran out but I have new brakes, wheel bearings and more to fit to it.

It got a GTi interior, 16″ alloys and big bumpers.

    Thats great Chris.

Which model/model year would be best to get the Passat springs from?

Should I get standard/lowered and how much would they need chopping?

Sorry to be a pain. I’ll do the a/r bar once its going round corners properly [:D]
