No, but I have heard that over 20,000 Golf 2 Syncros were made, including just over 500 RHD versions.

For 2wd with a good weight loss you can remove the complete propshaft, the rear diff, the rear drive shafts (just fit some (scrap)outer cv joints or you will start losing rear wheels when the bearings brake up) I would think thats about 50 kilos less all told.

1 is 71.5cms long the other is 81cms long, they are both 3cms wide
they are made out of approx 16 gauge steel with again approx 1/8 inch thick ends

You need a G60 specific ECU, anything with the following part numbers will do.

Given the age of our cars its more likely to be a wiring fault, but again it could be the ECU, do you have access to a different one to try?
The Golf 2 Syncro straps are no longer available from VW,
As the G2 & G3 Syncro tanks are nearly identical, I was about to suggest adapting Golf 3 Syncro straps until I saw the price @ 70 euros each, ouch! [

15 cms??? ETKA says only 12mm longer or 8mm shorter

Syncro drum h/brake cables – 1580mm
Rallye disc h/brake cables – 1600mm
G3 Syncro drum & disc brake cables are 1592mm, 12mm or 1/2 an inch longer than the original drum cables
or 8mm shorter than the Rallye cables!are you sure you have part number 1H0 609 721C (for disc brakes) and not the 721B for drums?
or did you get the Golf 3 2WD cables?
they are listed as 1495 long for drums & 1613 long for discs

]Yes, you only really need the 280mm caliper carriers & discs as the 256 calipers & hubs are the same as the 280mm items.
You also need the hubs as they are completely different to the 239mm hubs.
