    Yes, and the 2WD G60 Golf also had the high tunnel & short console, so even they are not as rare as people think.

    Do you mean the metal one with the VIN nr stamped in?

    if so I think its part number 191803157 and available from vw classic parts

    or the plastic rain cover? p/n 191819415C and available from the dealer

    Why not fit another motor loom and sell it as a going concern? these cars are getting rarer by the day, and it really does look too good to break

    I will check if the motor loom is the same as the 2wd carb model one.

    Just measure up the tank depth and subtract say an 8th or a 16th of an inch for your total length.

    Cos Volkswagen gave or sold them all their old no longer needed parts

    I.E. not fitted to a new VW car for more than 10 years,
    VW only have to carry parts within their dealer network for 10 years since the date of last production.
