ModeratorThe rear engine mount is also Syncro specific, unfortunately it looks like the front mount has broken the lug of the gearbox bellhousing as well you will need to get this welded on again or replace the bellhousing (or gearbox)

ModeratorDid you get the disk I sent you?

ModeratorUnfortunately the mk 3 Syncro tank will NOT fit the Syncro 2
The later Passat tank opening will also fit, I welded mine in using a plastic welding set I have here and a Passat tank top, you can also make 2 metal rings and and use nuts & bolts to clamp the wider neck & flange to the old tank (with a suitable sealent inbetween of course.

ModeratorThere is one for sale here, but how good it is I don’t know,
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1990-4WD-VOLKSWAGEN-GOLF-SYNCRO-BLUE-/150509288305
I just emailed him to ask if there is any MOT and what the mileage is.

ModeratorThe Rallye beam has mounting brackets for the ABS sender cables, however there may also be other differences as well, but as you stated in your post they are (very) minor

ModeratorUnfortunately Talal did not take enough photos to really make a how to photo guide,
but here are the before & after pictures for reference, these should be a great help to anyone doing the same job on the rear brakes,
as its all too easy to get lost and forget where things should fit [

ModeratorWhy do you not just put an 02C cable change box in? it will hold at least double the power that the 020 box will reliably run with.
