btw there is no way a rod change gearbox from a 1986 to 91 Syncro will run a VR6 engine

ModeratorNo, they are not compatable, you need a Golf or Passat rear subframe/diff to match your front,
btw which gearbox do you have? the rod or cablechange one?

I am trying to find the original receipt for my first Syncro, its dated somewhere in summer 2002, so thats 10 years I have been messing about with them!

Depending on the kilometers the display alone is worth a couple of hundred, as they only go up to 300 thousand kilometers then freeze.
