ModeratorThe 4 Cylinder Rear Diff code is
G2 Syncro ARR
G3 Syncro CBXTo the best of my recollection the transfer box does not have the code stamped on it.

ModeratorThe rear diff has to have a suitable (matched ) ratio to the transfer box so it has 21/16 for the VR6 & 20/21 for the 4 cylinder models, however the 4 cylinder transfer box will bolt up directly on to the VR6 Gearbox, & of course then the VR6 transfer box will fit onto the 4 cylinder Gearbox
VR6 Codes are
Gearbox Code VR6 – CSR
Rear Diff Code VR6 – CSSGearboxes on eBay.de here

ModeratorIf it is your transfer box then you need a VR6 Transfer box with 16/21 gear ratios, & not the 4 cylinder one with 20/21 ratios.
If it is the Differential then these are fitted in matched pairs (crown wheel & pinion)

ModeratorIt is more than likely to be the bevel gears in your transfer box that have shed at least a few teeth. [

ModeratorThe diameter is the same its only the length thats different, you could either space it out with a washer or 2 if the sender is to long or grind the swing arm off a bit if its to short.
