ModeratorWhat is the ebay number? or post a link please.

ModeratorIt certainly is! [8D] [:p]
I just remembered that I supplied the new window seals for this car a couple of years back as the then owner (the old boy) was not happy with the slightly perished ones [
]It is absolutely original and never been messed with, apart from the Syncro 4×4 door sticker, which I believe has been on from new,
and the new wheels, as it had 13 inch steels on when I last saw it.Chris S
ModeratorThe cable shifter (Gear lever, lever box, cables etc) from any 2WD Passat 35i will fit without any problems, the Passat cables are a tiny bit longer but it does not make any difference,
the rear diff is the same as the 90bhp Syncro, only the VC unit is different, to fit the Rallye rear donut.

ModeratorNice one, its cost a bit more than most syncros of the same age cost, but given the condition, mileage etc in my opinion you got a bargain. [

ModeratorI know this car, the ‘old boy’ owners daughter approached me a couple of years ago for a valuation when her father had to give up driving
I think it has a full VW dealer service history? having been back to the VW dealer for absolutely everything,
I had a full set of photos on my old computer, it was in absolutely outstanding condition and looked more like a 5 year old car than a 20 year old one, it is one of the best Syncros I have seen.
My advice is to buy it now, today, right away, cos if you don’t someone on here will now they know about it!

ModeratorJust a thought, could you use a 5th injector in the inlet manifold for the water injection?
ok, it probably wouldn’t last forever with the water going through it instead of petrol, but it should have a reasonable length of life, shouldn’t it?
You could possibly use a small dedicated pump to get the needed 3 bar pressure.

ModeratorThe 1P 98bhp motor as mine is has a knock sensor as standard,
my motor which has the timing set at 10 deg BTDC, has also had the cat removed and replaced by 2 side by side GTI front boxes,
a straight through pipe then leads to the rear (std) box, this along with replacing the standard Syncro computer with a chipped up 8V GTI one, gives me approximately 125 or so ponys, it now pulls in 5th like it used to pull in 3rd [}

ModeratorHere is a suitable oil, the price is horrendous though!
Castrol M SAE 50 is a special lubricant formulated from first pressing castor oil , free from contamination and developed for use as lubricant for model aircraft engines using methanol fuel . 4 litres bottle .
Also useful as lubricant for dragracing .

We’ve thought about this

I wish other people would!
btw, sparkz please don’t take it personally, it was meant more as a general comment and was not a personal attack, I just get fed up with reinventing the wheel every few months. [
