Euro car parts do these for £20 a side. These are F.A.G branded very good OEM quality IMO.

Thanks for your comments fellas, it is a really nice kit.

Think I may have to ebay it…..thought it would have been snapped up by now as I have it on several forums.

I have recently changed the t/box on my corrado (with rallye g/box), without removing the engine or g/box.

You will have to remove the prop, drive shaft, downpipe (possibly manifold as well). But it is possible.

I did a Rallye gearbox change recently. I Thought I could fit the whole lot in with the engine in place LOL

In the end I split the Gbox and Tbox, then fitted the gearbox to the engine (still in the bay), then fitted the tbox.

I bought some off eurocarparts, they were £40 a side and were made by FAG (OEM manufacturer).

Could you not get the hollow right hand drive shaft cut down & rewelded? for the left hand shaft any Golf2 G60 shaft will fit.

LOL – Just glad I’m not going mad.

Will try and source one, else it will go the the machine shop for cutting and welding.

    Cheers again!

A mate recommended taking them to a machine shop to have another groove cut in on the lathe.

The sfat had 90mm inner CVs fitted, I bought 100mm ones from GSF, but htey would not fit.

The were too wide and were not able to physically sit down far enough to get the snap ring on the end (even with the bottom concave washer removed).

I only ask because where those pipes are leaving the manifold is totally different to on a Rallye manifold.

If you’re sticking to the 16V then you’re looking at a totally different manifold and downpipe set-up to the one pictured. I would suspect that the engine requirements for the exhaust are considerably different on the 16vV vs the VR6.

Best of luck with not cutting the firewall – I just couldn’t see a way around it.

LOL – no sticking with the 16v set-up at the mo.

Just exploring possibilities i.e. if its poss to combine the g60 & VR6 downpipes. As a quicker/easier solution than modding the firewall (which is a perfectly fine solution too :))

Though I would revise this thread :)

Looking through clubgti and found this:

    http://www.clubgti.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=36207&page=5

This conversion is a VR6 Syncro drivetrain / engine into a RHD Corrado, exhaust pipework has been done without cutting the footwell.
