Has anyone split the chassis from the body and replaced all the bushes and powder coated all the chassis parts ? Just wondering if it is worthwhile?

Taken the country to ‘Dave the trimmer’ in Bedfordshire to sort the webasto roof out. Hopefully he will have more luck than me !!!

Still no luck, I have found one for sale in Germany and due to size the guy doesn’t want to courier it to me so it’s potentially a 850 mile road trip ( that’s one way ) and I don’t think it’s much better than mine.

The bars go under the front valance and fit to the underside of the chassis legs.

When it comes off I will take more dimensions and try and map the bars so it could be reproduced !!

Yes vagcat was online Etka but that version looks miles better than, thank you. However still not getting the info I need, anyway getting a Vw mate to help me on Sunday, 2 heads better than 1, and all that.
