    Hello everyone
here is my 1990 golf country
I purchased to take over to Bulgaria this year but have found there is too much that needs doing so it will be next year now.
Since the photos I have fitted
    K&n airfilter
    chipped ecu (thanks Chris)
    GTI rear window and spoiler
    Mk3 black leather heated seats

    Jobs that need doing
    Chassis cover replacement
Electric windows (have the fronts, switches and console)
fit two tone leather door cards
    fit central locking
fit disc brakes all round (have 280mm for the front and mk4 calipers for the rear)
new shocks and springs all round
    Respray (two tone paint)
New bigger wheels (16″) and tyre
I am sure I will find more jobs along the way

Been into VW’s since watching herbie as a kid I own
    1972 GT beetle
1973 Late bay owned for 20years running an engle cam, uprated rockers and a performance carb set up. Red 9 coiler overs all round
1972 early bay in need of resto
    2000 A3 1.8T Quattro chipped to 200BHp
    And now 1990 country

Looks like it is in mint condition. Very nice.

wish it was mint I would say more of a 20 footer
But I own it now so it will be better I hope. Never thought I would ever have the privilege of owning a country.
brought up on beetles and campers and as the saying goes “KEEP THE LEGEND ALIVE” I have always worked on the principle of fit stock or better. I prefer to fit better but that’s down to the individual

The previous owner fabricated it, I think it was originally a Halfords item. I can take some pics of it tomorrow if you like?

Sorry for the delay, looks like standard Halfords roof bars and the framework is bolted to them

Wow, I looked at this car, it was near Hemel Hempstead. I thought the garage owner was a bit special so I walked away.
How are you getting on with it ?
