Thanks, I hope I’ve done it right tho as the info is a bit sketchy on how much fluid to put in, this was the coupling off my spare diff and switched it for the coupling on the car, I plan to do the same to this coupling so if this one seems ok I’ll just repeat the process. I still ain’t got 4wd in reverse tho, I’ve purchased a new switch from vw heritage but still not engaging the lock solenoid. The only thing left is the relay but ain’t checked that yet. Do you know if there is a fuse for the solenoid?
I managed to refill my coupling with new viscous fluid. I am impressed with the results so far, I shall keep you updated how it goes.

]Ha yes mate great cars, mine’s not in show condition but I still take it to a couple of local shows because it’s the only one there. This is a great forum too I have found out a few things about mine on here, like why I only got 2wd in reverse. I thought thats just how they were till I seen on here about the reverse switch on the gearbox. I am thinking about doing the Haldex conversion in time but for now I’m happy with it the way it is.
