I am looking for a Golf Syncro Mk2 centre console for electric windows. The console should be in very good condition.

aren’t the consoles the same, just the centre panel swaps out with the cubby hole? I admit I haven’t really checked but I was hoping to transfer the elec windows from my gti to my syncro hence asking.

No, the consoles aren’t the same. The console for electric windows has the holes for the window switches instead of the cubby hole. There is nothing exchangeable.
There was an aftermarket solution for retrofitting electric windows with a bezel which comes in front of the cubby hole. Therefor two holes need to be drilled into the back plane. So this is somehow final

aha ok – damn…I will have to investigate that. I guess it doesn’t have the second cubby on the syncro does it and that’s where the switches would go. hmm. Back to the drawing board lol

if you can live with the aftermarket version then the bezel is the same for syncro and non-syncro

finding a genuine electric window one these days is expensive. Expect nothing less than £100

Thank you, I have it allready on my watch list.

Unfortunatly there are no informations about the condition of the console and the user seems not to respond to questions. So it’s a bit a game of luck.
