hey guys, was phoning around at the weekend and have got a couple of quotes for a conversion.
a local garage who specialise in 20v t engines in mk2 golfs quoted me 5-6 k for an audi tt 225 engine, haldex, discs, break pipes, gear box everything done for 5 – 6k. what do you reckon,
was quoted by storm for r32 conversion about 10k and more probably. do you think 5-6k is reasonable or do you know somewhere that is cheaper better to get it done etc. thanks kev
oh yeah it included a quaife diff etc to
6K for a drive in drive out conversion.
to fit a 225 motor, full haldex with a quaife in the frount. i don’t think you’ll find cheeper
in retrospect – sounds like a bargain vs diy
That is a very good price. I know a guy who has paid to have this done and he has spent about £12k It’s had a remap and this was in a MK2 Gti so they have made up the boot floor aswell. You’ve got a deal there mate
which specialist is it? Make sure you get a full list of what is included down to the finer details though. That will tell you if its too cheap
its a company in croft near northallerton. think the lad is called andy. he put an r32 engine in my mate vr6 for 4k, did are a really good job
