    Hi Holmes,

I don’t actually know what car you have – judging by the ad I’m hoping it’s a passat 35i.

However the (first) advert does say: “Antrieb: Frontantrieb” – i.e. Drive: front… i.e. (i presume FWD only). Is the passat liek the syncro in that the rear springs are different than standard?

Second ad says something along the lines of “Suitable for all 35i passat variants, apart form the 6-cylinder… again no mention of syncro.

Third ad says the springs are actually *from* a syncro G60 so unless you know for sure that the normal 35i and syncro rear spriings are the same, the third ad is the one i’d be looking at…but they do say please get in touch for shipping prices.

    hopethat helps…

    B-)

whilst I hesitate to recommend them, I used to get springs direct from avo in northampton… as in off the shelf items, but they were for coilovers, but they also did regular shocks/springs as far as I know so might be worth a try. Sorry no number to hand…google avo northampton.

they have to be syncro specific for the rear. H&R make some. KW FK and weitec make coilover kits

glad you sorted it – fancy posting a link for the kit you got? and perhaps a couple of pics when you get it? I’m sure you’re not the last person on here who’ll need shocks/springs ;)

avo are a bit on the cheap and nasty side with regular rebuilds meaning a new hobby/expense

yep – hence “I hesitate to recommend”. I’ve posted before at length my thoughts on avo’s (lack of) build quality but they did seem to have a lot of springs in different diameters and lengths…
