Participantdid the standard Country come with a GTI or CL rooflining?
i need a lower fog light, front seat material, a better wheel cover, and the rear steps.
I know there are new front fogs on ebay.de but they are quite expensive at the mo.October 12, 2010 at 8:53 pm #7829Hungry_Horse_1955
MemberI don’t know what the difference is between the GTi and the CL headlining! The one I have is black and has a big hole for the sunroof as mine is the Chrom version with a webasto roof!
The fog lights are standard Hella versions, but I don’t know if they are still available.
I thought the front seat material was from the ‘Driver’ version. You could get a wheel cover made up, but the rear steps are specific to the Country.
There is someone in Germany who has been breaking Countrys for years, but I don’t know anything about him! Does anyone know who it is?

Participantthe grey seat material is similar to a Driver. I tried a late one but it was too light. The Syncro Sports cloth is too dark. Ive a few articles but i cant find if it should have a black or beige rooflining

MemberTry this link for parts:- http://www.vw-golf-country.de/countryforum/ads_item.php?id=495&sid=7afdc20ed32c3f7e162bbb9080bc621a.
I usually copy the text and paste it into http://www.freetranslation.com. It will give you the gist of the text, although some of the more technical words are not translated. In that case try one of the Deutsche-English dictionaries. There is one I used to use which was very good, but I have lost the link at the moment!

Participantive managed to source the roofling, all the wheels have been refurbished, front passenger seat that MJ Interiors is converting to a drivers seat, replacement rear step bars with less dents, replacement fog light, replacement spotlight cover and the engine is in and runs. Now its just the plumbing and fine tuning to do and it will be the daily driver
: ))

MemberWhere did you get the replacement rear step bars from?
April 2, 2011 at 2:19 am #8358re2
Participanthi clive
i didnt get the whole rerar steps, just the exterior bars. I bought them from ebay.de- there was a mint set on there but the seller sold them privately im guessing as the auction dissapeared. The set I got wasnt mint, but only a small ding as opposed to my repeatedly bumped set. Ill see if I have the search word stillApril 4, 2011 at 9:30 am #8366re2
Participantive noticed a few Coountry Chrome parts on ebay.de today too
