Last week I bought this ebay item,

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370409358588

The post & packing charge to the Netherlands was 10 pounds,

ok, I thought until the package (Parcel force courier pack) which is basically a thin unpadded plastic bag, arrived here this morning,

As the bag was franked at only 2.24 pounds for postage, I thought that a 10 pound charge was rather excessive, read below the e-mails over how this company dealt with my query/complaint.

Hallo, I find your “Handling & Delivery” charge to be rather excessive at 10 pounds,

When the actual post cost 2.24 pounds & packing consisted of no more than a sheet of used newspaper & a parcel force courier sack,

The fact that you had to go to the post office, will not hold water as you would have been going there anyway with other items,
May I suggest a refund of 5 pounds on the postage charges is in order.

    Thank you, Chris S

    Dear customer

Thank you for your email regarding postage cost we have check in to this and the price we quoted to you is correct. this was sent by a sign for service which we were charge £8.50 for there were two labels on the packet one for post and one for the post sign for service, we are sorry you feel that it is to expensive but we have to send via a sign for service PayPal rules.

Not a sign for service would have only cost the postage i.e. £2.24 plus P&P charge our total would have been only £3.00

    Regards, JG Supplies

I was not asked to sign for anything on personally receiving the parcel at this end, so you tell me! Chris

Further there is nowhere on the front or rear of the courier pack which says that it must be signed for, (photo of packaging attached)Chris

    Dear Sir

Thank you for letting us know, as we have now found that we have been subject to incorrect dealings with our post office which is now on going
We have refunded the full p&p charge via PayPal for your trouble

    Regards, JG Supplies

What a result! What a good company to deal with! the money was refunded within minutes of receiving their last e-mail.

I feel that I can recommend them on here without any hesitation. [:)]
