Anyone got a halfway decent mk2 syncro/gti fs?

Just a feeler – was thinking about getting a mk2 gti for the missus to pootle about in… does anyone have a half decent one lurking or even a syncro they’re looking to sell?

Part of the problem with the polo is that I don’t have polo bits lying about and I dunno how it comes apart, whereas a mk2 golf would probably be no less hassle but at least it’s familiar turf and I’ve got buckets full of spares. Syncro would be probably more hassle but I’ve got even more spares.

Looking for fairly mechanically sound and not a rust bucket (i.e. rusty sills no ta) but doesn’t have to be pretty or fast, and in fact would prefer no mods other than perhaps suspension.

hmm interesting find but I think she’s gonna try and find something in slightly more working order. Was more in case someone had one kicking around..like that nice blue one a while back which I’m sure is in bits by now.
