    Thanks for all answers. I found a problem, I hadn’t 4wd in reverse.
    It was quite silly problem.
    There wasn’t any vacuum connected into the rear axle.
    The vacuum hose sucked the air all the time. One of the symptom of that was I hadn’t enough good brakes.
    When I connected the vacuum hose in the correct place, rear wheels started rotate on the snow.
    Now I’ve got wholesome SYNCRO:).

    I’ve got also problems with 4wd in reverse.
    Chris S – you’re writing “Check your under bonnet vacuum lines, esp the Light green one that disappears under the front left wing & your reversing light switch”
    Do you know where is “light green” vacuum hose in MK3 (color?)? Do you’ve got (or anybody else)
    any diagrams how look the vacuum lines in MK3 (especially those from rear axle)?
    I add the reversing light switch is OK because the reverse bulb is shining.

    Hi. I’ve got VW golf III syncro with TDI engine. I’m here becouse I heard the forum is one of the best where I can find some intresting information about syncro.
