The english link for this site is here (click “Access without prior registration”):

Usually you enter the part number as chris says and submit – you’ll get a mail back with a quote after 24 hours or so. I’ve previously asked for the parts diagrams so I can see any extra bits I might need and they’ve obliged by sending a PDF – presumably extracted from ETKA…
philb115ParticipantI’ve used the site chris linked above (the vw classic parts one) to ship to the UK a couple of times – postage is normally only around 7 EUR and it comes via DHL…
philb115ParticipantLove the plateholders… I couldn’t stretch to something like that as I’d spent all my money on the reason for the new plates… [][][]
philb115ParticipantLegendary. I’ll get the order in now – I don’t fancy driving it around in that state…!
Found these – £15 for the pair including bushes and nuts []
philb115ParticipantDone! Much better. Syncro now has a stereo that works (and keeps the missus entertained!) – ready for a trip down to somerset today []
philb115ParticipantFound this – http://www.vwsyncro.co.uk/data/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1384 – though interestingly the mixture screw seems to be on the opposite side on mine…! Adjusting it now… []
philb115ParticipantExcellent – I’ve got 15/40 to go in there… also gonna do a filter change. No idea what is in there at the moment, though!
philb115ParticipantNice one, thanks… ordering those now
philb115ParticipantWhen’s the retirement party?! []
philb115ParticipantPicked up, driven 450 miles, and tucked away safely. []
philb115ParticipantYep… it’s gonna be well-looked-after; Garaged (nice and dry), driven a reasonable amount – though not too much! Very much looking forward to having one again… I miss mine! []
philb115ParticipantI’ll be picking this up from eddy on the 30th of this month! [] [] []
philb115ParticipantJudging by the location and the description, it might be my old syncro – I sold it to dannyp a while back.
philb115ParticipantApologies for reviving this old / dead post – but my parent’s T4 2.4 TDI camper did *exactly* the same thing – but at a much lower mileage… Explode. []
philb115ParticipantSweet – confirmation of me being stupid [] – added to watch list! It looks like eddy’s done all the work I couldn’t afford on mine when I was a student… []
One more question about this one:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1989-VOLKSWAGEN-GOLF-SYNCRO-SILVER-/180645069250
I’m probably gonna go and view it on sunday, since it’s relatively close to where I’ll be. Any idea if it belongs to anyone on here?
It looks like it’s *relatively* standard, apart from the interior and the new cluth, as well as various other upgrades (steering wheel, a few exterior mods etc) – ie cosmetic stuff. Anyway, it didn’t sell yesterday – he’s got a price on it (and presumably reserve) of £2000 – is that a little unrealistic?
