Hi
Does anyone have a parts list for converting rear drums on a country to disks, unable to open the links above
Many thanks
Gnorthwestalloy1ParticipantI just dug out the first receipt when I got the cert for my camper and it was 10 deutschmarks to get a birth certificate
granted it was some years ago, but you would think with modern software this must be very easy for them to get the details and print a certificatenorthwestalloy1Participantyou could also try this
http://automuseum.volkswagen.de/en/certificates-and-data-sheets.html
I have done this for my campers and beetle, you do get good information but they have hiked the price up now more people are using this service
northwestalloy1Participantnorthwestalloy1ParticipantSadly they stopped producing them last year []
northwestalloy1Participantnorthwestalloy1ParticipantThey said they were out of stock but did not remove the ad
check out their feedbackI would advise anyone to stay well clear of this seller
northwestalloy1ParticipantThe previous owner fabricated it, I think it was originally a Halfords item. I can take some pics of it tomorrow if you like?
northwestalloy1Participantwish it was mint I would say more of a 20 footer
But I own it now so it will be better I hope. Never thought I would ever have the privilege of owning a country.
brought up on beetles and campers and as the saying goes “KEEP THE LEGEND ALIVE” I have always worked on the principle of fit stock or better. I prefer to fit better but that’s down to the individualnorthwestalloy1Participantthx
northwestalloy1ParticipantMy apologies to everyone obviously I am posting pictures incorrectly, Anyone know what I am doing wrong? I am using IMG from photobucket
northwestalloy1ParticipantThat’s the route I was going to take
Thanks for the advice on 191505119 from classic parts I will buy a couple tomorrow. []Here is what someone did to my country
northwestalloy1Participantthat’s something I have learnt very fast. In the short time I have owned my country.
Thankfully though engineering has moved on, I have spoken to a couple of companies that manufacture springs, if I send my old springs they can reproduce and guarantee their work for a fraction of the price of NOS and dealer parts.
I think I will go this route, remanufactured springs, Bilstien shocks and factory mounting rubbers.
My next job is full stainless exhaust including manifold. After that it is suspension so I will take lots of pics and post also give my thoughts on the final ride qualitynorthwestalloy1ParticipantI have sent the details they requested but still no reply
I have now sent them an email asking for confirmation.
will post the response if I get onenorthwestalloy1ParticipantI will be buying the Bilsteins all day long
but I am interested why someone would try to sell a rare part at such a stupid price.
Also who would buy a shocker at such a low price? -
