I’m completely aware of the difference between 2WD and Syncro Golf. I know that the Passat rear beam is OK, but the mounting plates for the golf are different. I’ll cut the Passat bottom because otherwise is going to be scraped.
I don’t know if there is any difference in the tunnel of Syncro G60(cable shifter) and ordinary Syncro(rod shifter) and particularly the height.
I have ordered some body panels for the conversion – the boot left and right connection plates ~18eu each, but the other body panels are pricey. The other reason I prefer finding a Syncro donor car is because of the carpet, fuel tank and other small pieces that I’ll need.
Tomorrow I’ll post some pictures on the things I have at the moment
