Is this forum still active??
h714dhgMemberForgive me for being dumb here, im sure the answer is here somewhere, but i cant find it.
Rear driveshafts are sorted
Front shafts???
I have both TT/S3 hollow shafts. I am running 4×100 stock width. What length do the shafts need to be? I assume its overall length minus cv joints? What Outer CV joint can i use that will fit onto the TT/S3 driveshafts? Or do i need to cut and shut mk2 outer joints onto the TT/S3 shafts? Please help – want this damn project done now!
h714dhgMemberok will do, cheers
h714dhgMemberwill take a picture tomorrow, sorry been busy and not able to read the forum
h714dhgMemberanyone got an answer for the above question?
h714dhgMemberNo i dont yet. I have to strip it back down to get them powder coated and the corrct high tensile bolts fitted.
h714dhgMemberDoes it even have diagnotics?? Might be more old skool than that and be testable by multi meter only
h714dhgMemberI made custom brackets from 5mm plate steel. Then i mounted tt/s3 rear calipers and carriers. Used oem s3/tt pads and oem corrado g60 280mm front discs. Looks awesome behind the wheels. Ive also got 4 pot setup on front, but not driven with it to see what balance is like. However i do have a pair of fluid restrictors to fit if needed. These are another oem find from a 1996 a6 tdi avant.

h714dhgMemberStill for sale?? email me at tomcockings@hotmail.com, got a project to fit that to
h714dhgMemberJust to let you know i have got hold of mk3 syncro guide tubes and handbrake cables form my dealer. the tubes fit spot on, might need a slight tweak to the angle underneath where the cables exit the tubes, but other than that perfect. The cables fit and clip into place. They may not be 100% perfect like the mk2 parts, but as you cant actually buy those parts i guess we will have to make do.
The mk3 parts were on factory back order and i am still waiting on 1 cable to arrive. But i guess as i have ordered the last factory stock it should force the factory to produce some more I also ordered an extra mk2 rear diff support bush as there was only 1 left at the factory so that should also make them make some more!
h714dhgMemberIs that drum or disc brakes? The link only talks about drum brakes, cant think that i am the first person who has needed new parts since 2007??
h714dhgMemberdone the same conversion on my car, not got car back on the road yet, but im sure it should help slow it down.
h714dhgMemberi got mine sorted now, used corrado g60 front discs 280×22 IIRC, TT calipers and custom brackets.
Should hopefully stop it, fitted it up with twin brake bias valves so can tweak the front-rear to make sure i dont skid too much!
h714dhgMemberah!! you can still purchase those, but they are £75+vat each!
191 505 129 is the part number, but just double check before ordering. Factory had stock about 3 months ago when i bought some
h714dhgMemberwhen you say only got half of what you need, there are only 2 fitted?? which part dont you have??
