This is a buddy of mine who has been fixing friends cars for a while and has recently set up properly on his own. He’s done work on my cars as well as a few friends’ over the last year or so and is about the only garage/person I’d trust to do a proper job. As far as I know he’s ok with most vags but mk2 golfs seem to be his main thing.
He does regular mechanical stuff and welding/bodywork, diagnostics and has a trusted garage for MOTs too – i.e. a garage who will know what to do with a 20-year old golf. He’s just taken over working on my gti since I’ve not got the time at the mo.
If you’re in the area, definitely worth giving him a call.
