Hey!
I’ve been searching for one of these….but haven’t found one. Did anyone make a repair manual (Bentley, etc)? Anyone know? ISBN? Thanks!
Ben
I have one here but it is in dutch,
I also have this and although it is for the Passat it does cover the G60 engine & Syncro drivetrain as fitted to the Rallye Golf
Nice! Thanks for the information! I’ll have to try and find one of those.
Ben
Unfortunately they are out of print at the moment, but I wonder how many orders would be needed for a new print run?
It may be worth approaching him to see, if anyone has any interest please post on here.
I can then phone him in the new year with a provisional order to see what the prices etc will be?
btw if it comes off it will be cash with order please,
I’d definitely be interested in a copy! []

I spoke to Haley at Peter Russek today & have just emailed them, & however does not look good for a new print run.
Apparently Peter Russek recently died & a new company have taken over, unfortunately a PDF (or any electronic version of this manual is non existant)
this means that it must first be scanned at a high resolution to enable to be printed, and for such a small print run it is probably not worth it it them to do this.
In my e-mail to them I have asked if there are any ways around this problem
More to follow as I get it.
Well I can tell you that there is not going to be a new print run, not even a small one, as they think that there will be so little interest that it is not worth setting up for it!
On a lighter note, I have managed to obtain 4 new copies of this manual, I think these may be the last ones ever as they were last published since 1998.
Due to the fact that I had to pay what I feel is an excessive premium price to get them, they are on sale at 25 pounds each + postage to wherever you are,
I am sorry about the price, but given that they cover the Syncro specific 02C gearbox, transfer box, prop shaft, rear diff/axle & wiring, as well as the G60 engine, braking system etc and that to the best of my knowledge they are the very last ones I feel they reasonable value.
would it be worth scanning them?
As I bought all the copies he had I got a discount, this means I can sell copies at 25 euros each + postage & not 25 pounds + postage,
With postage to the USA (or anwhere outside Europe for that matter) & paypal charges it comes out at 45 euros in total.
For the UK or Europe the cost is 35 euros in total.
as of now there is only 1 copy left! so please be quick if you want it [:0]
