ModeratorHi Daz, Are you looking for the Rallye bell housing with or without oilways, as they came with both?

dazfxvwParticipantI’m not Sure Chris?? I’m looking for a bell housing that will allow me to fit a VR6 syncro gearbox to a rallye engine.
I’m not sure if my VR syncro bell housing has oilways or not, how do I tell?February 20, 2015 at 7:37 pm #10702
dazfxvwParticipantSorry for crashing your thread Nas, the original question still stands.

ModeratorHi Nas, I just looked as I thought I might have had one, but no luck sorry.
Why dont you both just swap bell housings? Thats if the vr6 box from Daz has a bell housing?
If you want to fit a vr6 motor to a Syncro then you need a vr6 syncro bell housing & not a rallye one as that will only fit a 4 cylinder engine.

dazfxvwParticipantI’ve got a rallye coming in a few weeks with no engine and gearbox, I’m putting quite a strong G60 engine in so will be upgrading to VR6 syncro gearbox and rear diff (which I already had knocking about) so I need a rallye bell housing.
If Nas’s bell housing would work for me I’d be ok with a swap.

The Vr6 box isn’t any stronger then the regular 02c. so why bother?
you are better off using the internals from a 02J box.
but the real culpit with these boxes are the case flexing. which will rip the gears..
and you won’t do that with a G60 engine no matter what

ParticipantInteresting Housey i have a 16vt in my rallye with a quaife 6 speed box producing 450 bhp and never had any problems with the box i don’t do crazy launches neither
But i have been in contact with Scott from usrt and he recommends one of thesehttp://www.usrallyteam.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=13_146&products_id=1049

Participanti’ve got that USRT brace. its s-hit. utter s-hit..
it does nothing. its so extremly thin. and it does not fit at all
and its a knock-off from another type which is similar. but require you to send your bellhousing in for machining
however. a VR6 bellhouse will not fit a 4 cyl engine, but you probably already know this

ParticipantHousey thanks for the heads up on the USRT brace
The other company that makes them is APTuninghttp://www.aptuning.com/images/custom/0100_2412.jpg
