Syncro rear back plates/splash guards

Following on from rear disc replacements…..

Can I get new back plates/splash guards for the rear?

I have part number 191615611C for them but can’t find any. I know most people would just go without them but I’m after originality. Is there any that will fit albeit with ‘adjustments’ at all?

i bought some on ebay for a premium price here a few weeks ago. used and rusty. but intact and usable for £27. and another £22 in shipping

i don’t know if there are any alternatives

Thanks again housey. Tempted to try some 4 mo ones and mod them. Might just cut away the really rusty bits and spray them

a bit rusty, but they are pretty thick and should clean up good

Here’s what I did in the end:

I bought these from german ebay

They are from an A3 quattro or mk4 golf 4 motion Part number is 1J0 615 611 C / 1J0 615 612 C, the two part numbers correspond to the position of the ABS sensor hole but that does not matter in this instance since the VR6 ABS sensor is perpendicular to the driveline. I pick these ones just because they looked the closest match to the originals.

Then I traced the mounting holes from the originals over to the new ones made a jig to mount it on and cut away with a pad saw and a die grinder. Sorry for lack of pictures of this operation, but this is the end result after paint and lacquer:

Look pretty neat and fit perfectly with mk4 calipers!
