Rallye rear diff

Need some help can someone please put a part number for the rear rallye dif and vc there are a few on ebay German.de but most seems to be golf syncro

They are all the same. The only differences throughout the years are the vc, and thats only the recess where the three bolts connect. As far as i am aware Rallye vc’s are the latter 25mm ones. Maybe ask a seller to measure for you? As per the pic below, you can see the one on the right has a 25mm recess.

So i can use a mk2 golf syncro diff with a 25mm vc?
I did hear the mk2 golf syncro diff are weak compared to rallye ones or is that just a mith?

the rear diffs are the same, no difference at all. The gearbox is different, and stronger
Do you live in the uk? i have a few rear diffs here if you do. No 25mm vc’s though (im keeping them), but have a couple 22mm versions spare
