so I’ve possibly (finally!) found a more modern forum setup which works nicely, and allows posting of images, works on smartphones etc.
Chris and I have tested it a little and it seems ok, so thought the next step is to get a bit of feedback here.
Please bear in mind this is just a proof of concept, the bunny and budgie are not new branding
Ideally you should be able to register, then head to the “test forum”.
Once there you should be able to make topics and reply to them, as well as include photos/attachments in the posts.
The photos should get automatically watermarked (with a bunny) and the whole thing should work from smartphones too. It works great on my samsung phone and I was even able to post pics too.
If this setup seems like it could work then I’ll figure a way of transferring all the existing posts so we don’t lose anything.

I hate to say this but I have no idea how to access a PM on this forum. I did not know the function existed because I don’t see it anywhere.
you should have got an email, but that would only have worked if you had been getting emails from here (which I thought you were). Drop me an email at ld50@vwsyncro.co.uk and I’ll send you the login.
btw I have a better long term solution for the email lined up for the test forum, works very well on my other sites, I was just waiting from the account to get approved. will sort that after xmas so the test forum email stuff works properly.
ok so I think i’ve sorted the email out on the new test site. Now it sends through a 3rd party provider which has worked very well for me on other projects.
Jetta GTX since you didn’t get my PM I’ve just deleted the superman account on the test site. Please re-register with the same details and you should be good to go
