Sounds like you’ve bagged a good ‘un if it’s in as good a condition as the mileage says it should be.
If you want to leave it close to standard then just replace the rear anti-roll bar with a Rallye item. This will tighten the handling right up and stop it understeering. You can also fit GTI ventilated discs to your front brakes, which will give them a lot better fade resistance.
Both mods can be unbolted and swapped back to standard easily.
Thanks for the encouragement!
I am going to try to get it Just as it left the dealership,
I have made a list of a few little things that want sorting~
Handbrake light
Parcel shelf hinge LHS
Alarm to sort out!
Rear speakers not working
One sunroof arm rusted away
Big rubber intake hose rotten (£38 + vat)
Dealership number plates, tax holder and stickers
Getting seats cleaned on Monday
Full service using VAG parts
I have been using it for a week now and i am very pleased with it.
Last VW was a mint 16valve Jetta GTI, so memorys flooding back.
Did you buy this from near Durham somewhere? One with the leather interior?
Looks mint! Great to see another Jade green syncro on the road
i remember seeing this for sale and nearly bought it myself! Glad its turned up on here too
