You need a standard 100mm inner joint SYNCRO driveshaft, & I think I may have a pair here somewhere if you need them?
Thank you again Chris you have lots of knowledge on these. IM fine, i think i can buy these parts from Here. But if i wont il contact you.
Argh it happened again part 2.
My Folkswagon didnt pass MOT. Emissions to high…. I wonder i got it through last time with broken ecu and now i have this working pb ecu. 6000 km driven since last mot. Now it was from CO% 1,05 at +2000 rpm when limit is 0,30. HC 61, CO2 14.00, O2 0,50. So does my pb have asthma?
Does that co screw apply at this rev range?
Nothing new on VC rebuild. I havent the time for it now. But i have found source for new x rings to VC. These are made from PU to the exactly same size as originally. But i come to that later.
Haha. Original speedlines got sandblasted… Now these rares are getting chrome powdercoat on. I might made a mistake, but those were in bad shape. Sorry no pictures.
This is how my Country looks with fresh painted summer wheels.
Close look
Looking very good!
Thank you Chris. Any thoughts about my emissions problem?
yes, have a look at your idle stabiliser valve,
this thing here http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_sacat=0&_from=R40&_nkw=golf+2+idle+stabiliser&_nkwusc=golf+2+idle+stabilisor&_rdc=1
i have almost new valve installed.
Then its possibly an air leak on the intake side or in the vacuum system for the brakes & rear diff.
ok. Doesnt this run rich now? Shouldnt it be lean if intake side leaks? I may not undestand this too well though.
Try unplugging the lambda sonde or resetting the computer as it could be running in limp home mode (not at the same time though)
Does that co screw on Afm affect to mixture when ecu is in closed loop? Im tihinking that Afm flap doesnt open that much when theres no load enough. Ie mot testing. Could it give unmetered air? Do you understad what i mean?
I had to open floor to change nut. Old nut had lost its threads and passenger sides swingarm rear bushing came loose. Few pics from that operation.
Hello there. I have sold my country, to a fellow vw enthusiasts. So now my visco rebuild has edes also. Thank you all for your help, Chris S especially. I might find my self from this Forum later, but i might skip syncro cars, as id like 4motion as my next car.
