This is the easy part to find, as the filler neck usually gets left on the car which is then either crushed or shredded along with the Syncro Specific filler neck, the 2wd Golf 2 models all have a 1 piece tank which incorporates the filler neck.
Absolutely not! the tanks are also few & far between, breakers yards being non syncro owners don’t usually realize that the tank is different from the 2wd version & just scrap the whole thing.
Perhaps I should have phrased it better, in that you are more likely to find a tank than a neck.
As with all things Syncro being rare, rare becomes a relative term when applied to the Syncro market!
