    Hi everyone.

i’ve taken on the tast of “restoring” my G2 syncro…

meaning its about to get thrown into a rotisserie and the bodywork will be totaly redone from top to bottom.

and, while i’m doing this i’m reinstalling ABS to the car. but i’m not using the funky TEVES mark 1 system which only has ABS on the front wheels.

i’m installing the ATE Mark 20 ABS from a 97 Golf mk3 (11″ Brake booster and yada yada)

and i’m wondering if the rear sensors from (lets say a 97 G3 syncro) will fit?

front ones are easy they are a direct fit. but i need to figure the rears out. if i can use the MK3 syncro ABS sensors it would be easy.

does anyone have any thoughts on the matter?

    / Dan

The mk3 sensors should fit, but note on the Golf 2 Syncro there were 2 different length rear sensors fitted dependent on whether drum or disc brakes were fitted

There is only 1 sender listed for the G3 Syncro rear

The diameter is the same its only the length thats different, you could either space it out with a washer or 2 if the sender is to long or grind the swing arm off a bit if its to short.
