I remember dannyp telling me that after he fitted the same 280mm discs he locked up his front wheels (RHD no ABS) at 100mph(160kph) and flat spotted his brand new tyres, oops [

another question for you guys
took the ABS harness out today.. and it was connected to a plug which went to the roof of the car. color of the wire was black with yellow stripe
what is that for?
no one?
It looks like it might possibly go from the relay to the dashboard warning lights, but the wiring diagram is so small I cant make it out properly, I will scan it later & e-mail it to you.

finally home been away for this whole week.. itching to get going on the G60 project 
damn, its been some slow days, been tired and lazy.. but, on it again today, hopefully i’ll remember my camera, not much to take photos of tho, but the rear is getting stripped today 
 (hopefully)
so, well, did some stripping of the passat today, not much, but got the left axle off, and the swaybar 
 (****ing rusted bolts)
and loosened the propshaft from the VC 
took some pics too 
This is what I started out with, bit of rusted parts, but, I’ll clean it up and paint it:)




Well, I need new calipers, probably get some MKIV ones instead of these “rustlikecrazyandseizesupcrap” calipers

Well, I need a bunch of parts for the rear tho..
all new brake-lines
new brake proportioning valve
handbrake cables
calipers
discs
pads
abs sensors
and probably some bushings aswell 
Oh, and just for the hell of it, poor syncro which looks like a colorchart is parked in the cold outside the garage, poor thing

damn, wish i was rich 
 but, i’ll get the parts eventually 
all those proportioning valves looked to me like to they are two inlet and two outlets.. mine only has one in, and two out
They are all the same, they just have a T piece in front of them to give 2 in 2 out or 1 in 2 out
ah, if they are all the same, then i’ve got a new one lying around from my old 16valver
