Its only the vacuum sender that you need to change, as all G-lader motors have a similar 1 bar version.
great then i’ve got two havn’t actually looked at the speedos i have from the corrado and passat.. but i’ll do that tonight
looked a bit at the wiring today. damn i wish there was any possibility to have the tool and the pins for the connectors on the car. need to shorten a bunch of wires, and there is many wires that has been broken a few mm over the connectors..
look in ETKA
VW
Scroll down past all the various models to Elekt.Verbind.-Elemente 1947>>
Model year 1989
Section 9 Electrical systems
all the individual wires, plug housings & individual electric connectors are listed there!
yeah, i saw that, but still very unsure of what kind of pins that the plugs use .. its for these normal 2/3 prong engine harness connectors, for the fuelrail and such
For once the drawings in ETKA (of the pins & plugs) actually physically resemble the actual item, and the plugs are listed by the number of connections they have.
okai i’ll have a look into that
some more progress today the car is finally on its own feet again makes me a littlebit happy to see. some more details now, and it should be able to start
sooooo… operation wiring.. damn this sux, first of all, i didnt label the wires like i should when i removed the harnes (yeah i know, i dumb)
so. a few of them are easy, but there is a bunch of them which isnt that easy to figure out. and since the wiring is out of a passat g60 syncro, it does not have the right length on the cables, so that is no pointer
and, most of the wiring is cracking up and that sucks
anyhow, some pics of the wiring, showing what i mean by cracking wires
friggin nightmare
does anyone have wiring schemes over the G60 engines? my bentley does not
oh,and some other stuff the interior is getting closer too
a little dirty, but that can be fixed with water and soap
and a pic of my new racimex boost gauge, love the looks of it, too bad i don’t have matching (new) oiltemp and pressure gauges aswell
slow days. its cold, and i’m getting fed up. but, the motivation will come back i guess
hopefully i got the mapsensor for the speedo fixed today.. plasticwelding. looks as if will be leakfree
finally got some small things done, been cutting a soldering the wiring loom today, not finished yet, but i’m finally getting somewhere now
i’ll let the pics do the speaking, this is boring work.
(i have not used regulare tape for the wrapping, its butyl rubber, no glue, it fueses together by itself, great to work with and can take heat and cold with ease)
have come a long way now, pretty much ready to test-start the car hopefully that will happen tomororw, if i can find my battery (one of my garage mates took it a while back. so i don’t know where it is)
long time no post
but, things have been done, car has been started, and is nearly completed the silicone hoses is just about to arrive, so need the brackets for the intercooler. and a corrado/golf GTI airfilter box, then i’m soon good to go
so, just found out that i need a radiator and fan/fan shroud from the G60 golf. can’t use the passat, due to the size of the radiator and fan damn that suks
