MemberOn Saturday I changed my ‘slicks’ and put on the Vredstein SnowTracs that came with the car. This morning I drove to work (31mls) in the snow. BL**DY MARVELOUS!!! The car didn’t put a foot wrong in the 150mm (6″) plus deep snow. Even came up Titsey Hill (1 in 7) without any problems (apart from the 2WDs littered all over it).
The main problem seems to be people in their 2WDs trying impossible manoeuvers and blocking the roads!!
Get out there and use your car for what it was designed to do.
Enjoy!

MemberThats very good. Its good to hear that the syncros are doing their job right.
How is everyone else coping with the snow in their syncro?

MemberAm I THAT transparent????
Going to go home after lunch so that I can get home in daylight. I don’t fancy driving home in the predicted heavy snow in the dark.
I thought the snow was coming from your way, Chris! Or is it further North from you? Hope you get some soon!

ParticipantHad some fun drifting around the car park at Castle Combe on virgin snow this afternoon, after going to Merlin Motor Sport to pick up some bits….. in the Passat, not the Golf, natch.

]Probably not the cleverest thing you have ever done to let people know on a public forum that you have broken several laws, Also not very responsible in my view [V]

Memberinteresting question though – are you? I thought fully comp covered you even if it was your fault – which I had assumed covered speeding just as it would being distracted or just doing something dumb at the critical moment…like people blatantly do.
