The old site had got to the point that it did not work and was also hideously insecure. The email notifications weren’t going out (for reasons I couldn’t fathom despite best efforts) so new members couldn’t sign up and existing members didn’t get notifications…or only some did.
The forum was basically already dead, it just hadn’t realised it yet.
There was NO activity on the old forums towards the end…so in comparison we’re doing pretty well here with *some* activity.
Anyone who fancies migrating the old forums to a new/different platform so that everyone can moan about how terrible that one is instead is welcome to do so. Please form an orderly queue.

p.s. There is also a search button at the top right…all the old archives were migrated across to the new platform so all the posts should be there.
