I was wondering what MOT testers generally do about testing the brakes on a syncro. My local station has the two wheel rollers so unless I’m mistaken these wouldn’t work for a syncro, being 4wd it would just send drive to the other wheels and drive off them, or break something …. so how do they test the brakes?

handbook states the procedure, think it involves testing the car backwards

MOT testers without a 4 wheel braking tester will take the car on the road with a brake-force meter and check that it can deliver the required retardation in a road test.
