    Hi mates!

Im in the planning of a project!

My first idea was to go the VR6 route on my Syncro. But now Im starting to like the 4pot way.

My dream is a Golf Limited, the ones with the 16VG60 engines in a syncro chassi.

The idea is to make my own Limited “Replica” not exactly a replica but a car that has the same pedigree.

But I wonder about some things..

The plan is to use a ABF engine with a G60.

    And install Haldex etc.

But how can this be done?
I want 5 bolts and the larger brake discs that you can get from a VR6 Syncro.
And the thing is the gearbox… what can I do there? Should I just use a MK3 Syncro gearbox and transferbox and use the rest from a VR6 Syncro, like the rear beam and front?

I cant really say that I have any idea how to do this… but it will loosen up later on.

I would like to use a more modern 6 speed gearbox, 02M or something… but I dont know how that would mate up to a ABF engine… and what kind of electrical system I need to use.

Many questions… I know but this is my plan and I want to make it real.

    One more question.

What kind of Haldex can I use? There is alot of MK4 2.8 with Haldex and others like a Passat or something.
Is there one specific one that I need to obtain?
Thats one of the things that I dont really have a clue is the transferbox from the gearbox to the Haldex… wich one that I need to use, in order to convert to ABF.

    Im rethinking this…

What is the best solution? Seems like there is alot of hassle with driveshafts and CV.

I was hoping that I could use the VR6 chassi with the ABF and a gearbox for that.

I want 5×100 because of the wider track and larger brakes that can be easily bought.

But should I just go the 02C gearbox way?

How about the angle drive and haldex?

And what Haldex can I use? Are they all the same?

    hei.

    http://www.epytec.de
    http://www.dutchbuild.com/
