Hi. i’m doing a thorough inside clean (pluss diff bearing replacement) on the 02C box i’m using for my 16vt project.

does anyone have the complete list of tightening torques on this box? :)

    /Dan

you out of the hospital yet chris? :)

the box is back together, but i don’t have the torque for the angle drive..

i wild guess is that the housing bolts are 25nm. but the big nut on the flange for the prop-shaft? :)

sorry, I am in a lot of pain & I forgot!

all transfer box mounting bolts (both sides) are 40NM

but the big nut on the flange for the prop-shaft?

265NM Yes thats Two hundred & sixty five newton meters

no problems chris. best is that you get well soon :)

    and thanks.

265nm is the same as wheel bearings on Mk2 golfs :) should be interesting to try that one (i’ve got a torquewrench that goes from 200 to about 800nm (almost 1.5meters long))
